Born out of passion.
Kit Bentley is a well respected figurehead within the artist community. Her first gallery was opened in Chelsea in 1977 and with over 40 years of experience she is a champion for artists such as Eric Bourse, Pierre Farel and Jacques Pellegrin to name a few. “Live In Art” was born out of her passion for French Modern Art and her vision that everyone should be able to have access to the magnificence that art can bring into their everyday existence.

“Live In Art” is a platform that enables artists to showcase their works in public arenas including hotels, restaurants, and galleries. Installation and placement is taken care of by Kit’s expert and caring eye. Dividing her time between Surrey and the splendour of the Dordogne, Kit has further expanded her vision to create an artists haven at her French home, a gallery in itself, showcasing pieces throughout the property for friends, guests and artists and cementing her status as a figurehead for French Modern Art.

Moments away from the tranquil river banks of the Dordogne in the heart of Saint-Seurin de Prats is the established gallery run by Kit Bentley from “Live In Art”. This beautiful stone and timber building, lovingly restored by Kit, is now home to the many works of Eric Bourse among other artists. This tranquil gallery is a perfect backdrop for all the senses and emotions you experience from being surrounded by these inspiring pieces and the welcoming chairs beckon you to sit and reflect amongst the beautiful surroundings.
Following on from the success of the recent travelling exhibits hosted by “Live In Art” and the newly established French gallery based in the Dordogne, Kit Bentley is opening a permanent gallery in Clandon, Surrey. This niche gallery will exhibit prominent artists, such as the internationally renowned Eric Bourse and Vincent Avril to name a few. The cloister gallery will be open by appointment from the Spring.
