Eric Bourse at the Vignobles et Châteaux

Wine has always been a passion of Eric’s, and one that since he moved to Prat on the doorstep of St Emilion and Bordeaux is one that he has developed further through his painting and poetry.  Eric’s series looks at their complex yet simple colours, their tastes, how we entwine them into our lives, forming our own relationships with them whether to lose oneself or to enjoy oneself, they can lie at the heart of our everyday emotions or sit happily on the side lines. The series of paintings that Eric produced, naturally, are influenced heavily by his surroundings in the Dordogne and the many Chateaux of the area. In Saint Emilion the medieval streets led him to Vignobles & Chateau, a prestigious wine cellar and merchant who at once recognised a kindred spirit in Eric and his passions, and who now exhibit a selection of Eric’s paintings from his wine series, which offers the perfect backdrop to the exclusive wine experience that they offer. Once again Eric has shown his versatility and ability by stripping back a psssion and exposing the many layers and connotations that lie beneath the surface.
